The ambitious T155 Anderson Point Port Expansion project, enabled Fortescue Metals to rapidly increase its iron ore shipping capacity.

ECM’s works included the construction and commissioning of a 66kV sub-station, two rotary train-unloaders, 25 new HV & LV switch-rooms, 24.5 kms of conveyors, 11 transfer stations, two sample stations, and two shipping berths.

With a total peak workforce of 233, ECM installed thousands of metres of cable ladder, tens of thousands of control devices, light fittings and cable terminations and hundreds of thousands of metres of various types of cable.

In addition to the tight construction schedule, the ECM T155 project team was required to manage close physical interfaces with numerous other contractors with competing priorities.
