Adelaide native Mark Camilleri has been appointed ECM’s Regional Manager - South Australia as the Western Australian based contractor broadens its geographical footprint with a branch office at 41 Cawthorne Street, Thebarton.

Mr Camilleri returns to Adelaide to take the role having spent the past three years as Senior Project Manager for ECM on the Queensland Curtis Island LNG upstream works project.

“Leading a contracting business in my home state has been a long term aspiration for me, so when ECM offered this opportunity I didn’t need to think twice,” Mr Camilleri said.

“Our goal is to build a local team to service local projects in the commercial and industrial sectors. South Australia has a number of major developments burgeoning so it’s a great time to return and engage with the local market.”

Prior to ECM, Mr Camilleri spent 20 years with Nilsen in South Australia and was Construction Manager on numerous major projects before his departure.

General Manager Eastern Region Ian Hewitt said Mark’s experience makes him a valuable asset for the future business aspirations of ECM’s east coast operations.

“Mark’s experience and familiarity with South Australia bodes well for ECM’s future growth plans and strengthening of its position as one of the industry’s most sought after private contractors,” Mr Hewitt said.
