ECM was this week awarded three electrical packages on the WestConnex M4 East Project in Sydney by CPB Contractors Samsung John Holland Joint Venture (CSJ).
The WestConnex Project is part of an integrated transport plan to ease congestion in Sydney by increasing motorway capacity, bypassing multiple sets of traffic signals and creating vital links to major international gateways at Sydney Airport and Port Botany.
The M4 East Project will extend the existing M4 Motorway by construction of a tunnel comprising of two three-lane carriageways from the eastern end of the M4 West Motorway near Homebush Bay Drive to the City West Link and Parramatta Road at Haberfield.
ECM’s scope of work consists of the installation of HV reticulation site-wide, and the installation and testing of cable ladder, LV and equipment in the eastern end of the tunnel.
This project will establish ECM’s presence in the Sydney market with further WestConnex packages being tendered presently. The award of this contract has been the result of a dedicated tendering effort that required numerous pricing revisions, commercial and technical contract negotiations and face to face meetings in Sydney.
